Terrestrial Imaging Hyperspectral Sensor

Advanced SPECIM IQ portable imaging system for high-resolution spectral analysis in field and laboratory.

System Architecture & Output

SPECIM IQ Hyperspectral Camera

SPECIM IQ Hyperspectral Camera

A compact, portable imaging system developed by SPECIM (Finland) for field and laboratory use. It operates in the VNIR range (≈400–1000 nm) with 204 spectral bands, capturing a full spectrum for every pixel.

Using a push-broom imaging principle, it provides high spectral accuracy with a ~7 nm spectral resolution. Includes onboard processing, touchscreen control, and built-in calibration.

Trimble T110 Interface

Trimble T110 Interface

Integrated touchscreen-based control and analysis system designed for efficient hyperspectral imaging. Enables precise control of exposure time, frame rate, and radiometric calibration.

Supports real-time visualization of spectral signatures, band selection, false-color rendering, and pixel-wise classification without an external computer.

Basic Processing Output

Basic Processing Output

Standard output from SPECIM IQ includes radiometrically corrected reflectance spectra using dark and white reference calibration, ensuring accurate reflectance values for quantitative analysis.

Pixel-wise spectral signatures identify chemical composition, moisture content, vegetation health, and material differences across various research fields.

Data Acquisition Principle

The data acquisition in the SPECIM IQ hyperspectral camera is based on a push-broom scanning mechanism, where spectral data are captured line by line as the camera or target moves. Each hyperspectral data cube to be geo-referenced with location coordinates when mounted with an external GPS module. This capability is particularly useful for precision agriculture, environmental monitoring, and field surveys.
